New Wood For FiddleI just returned from Halifax, went to East Coast Specialty Woods to pick up some wood for my new fiddle. I found a nice piece of Bloodwood (red color), some Swiss Pear Wood, & Pau Amarello (yellow). Can’t wait to cut into them. I am halfway through carving the belly (medium grain spruce). A little at a time! I am using scrapers & sandpaper. I also have a new online gallery at Yessy.com. Lots of great art to see or set up an online gallery and sell your own! |
